Pravin M. Deshmukh, MD, is a board-certified internist. He received his bachelor of medicine and surgery (MBBS) from Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, University of Bombay in Bombay, India. He completed a rotating internship at Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Madam Cama & Albless Hospitals, G.T. Hospitals and Primary Health Center in Vangaon, Bombay. He also has a postdoctoral diploma in dermatology and venereology from Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals.
Dr. Deshmukh completed residencies in internal medicine at RN Cooper Hospital (affiliated with King Edward Memorial Hospital) in Bombay, and Robert Packer Hospital and Guthrie Group of Clinics, (affiliated with SUNY, Syracuse) in Sayre, Pa. Additionally, he has a fellowship in geriatric medicine from the Albert Einstein Medical Center & Jefferson Health System in Philadelphia, Pa., as well as a fellowship in infectious diseases from the Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y. He is board-certified in infectious diseases and internal medicine.
Jonah R. Flowers, DO, is an osteopathic family physician with a special interest in women’s health and pediatrics. She received her bachelor of science in physics from Grambling State University in Grambling, La. She completed graduate studies in medical physics at Louisiana State University and did her post-baccalaureate studies in human medicine at Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, La.
Dr. Flowers holds a doctor of osteopathy degree from Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va. She completed a rotating internship at the Montgomery Regional Medical Center, also in Blacksburg. In addition, she completed a residency in family medicine at the St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, Va.
Dr. Flowers is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and American Osteopathic Association. She is proficient in sign language.
Aron Boney, MD, is a board-certified family practice physician. He completed his bachelor of science at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C., and received his medical degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.
A board certified specialist in Family Medicine, Dr. Miller received his bachelor's degree in pharmacy from the University of Kansas, and his medical degree from Des Moines University. He completed his family practice residency at Norfolk General Hospital. Dr. Miller has been involved in many professional societies and academic positions throughout his career. He has been a diplomate of the American Academy of Family Physicians for nearly 18 years, and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Prior to joining Bon Secours DePaul Medical Associates, was with Patient First, and had previously worked in private practice in Virginia Beach and in Dover, Delaware.
Carla Toledo, RN, MSN, FNP-C, is a certified family nurse practitioner. She received her bachelor of science in nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and earned her master’s degree from the family nurse practitioner program at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Ms. Toledo had an extensive career as a registered nurse with an interest in military acute care and primary care. She held positions at the Branch Health Clinic Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia, Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California, Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, and Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center, also in Portsmouth.
Ms. Toledo enjoys spending time with family, shopping, traveling and attending church. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners .
Jennifer Evans is a certified family nurse practitioner specializing in providing primary care for the whole family. She received her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, and went on to complete her master of nursing, with a family nurse practitioner concentration, from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.
Ms. Evans lends her time to several volunteer causes, including World Changers-Norfolk, the Down Syndrome Association of Hampton Roads, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Leila Bumanglag, MD, is an internal medicine physician specializing in providing primary care for adults. She earned her bachelor of science in chemistry from the University of the Philippines and received her doctorate in medicine from Far Eastern University in Quezon City, Philippines. She completed her residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine with Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital in New York. She is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
Outside her professional career, Dr. Bumanglag enjoys musical plays, karaoke, traveling, and spending time with family and close friends. She likes to volunteer in medical outreach mission trips. During one of these trips, she met her husband, Eric, who shares her passion in serving others. They have a 6-month-old son named Philip.
