Bio
Ernesto Luciano-Perez, MD, is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. He specializes in sports medicine, general orthopaedics, arthroscopic surgery of all joints, especially the shoulder — including total shoulder replacement, reverse shoulder procedures and shoulder resurfacing.
Dr. Luciano-Perez received his bachelor’s degree from Haverford College in Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, La. He performed his internship at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed additional training in sports medicine at Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital in Columbus, Ga.
Dr. Luciano-Perez is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Medical Association, Virginia Orthopaedic Society and Southern Orthopaedic Association. He also serves as the Medical Director of Bon Secours Sports Medicine.
Dr. Luciano-Perez enjoys golfing and physical fitness.
