Spiritual Care at Bon Secours Mary Immaculate
At Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital, our chaplains seek to empower individuals with a personal sense of meaning, value, purpose, and transcendent connection with God. We honor the religious, spiritual and cultural preferences of all patients with dignity and respect. We also encourage visits from your own clergy.

Worship Opportunities
Catholic Services
- Catholic Mass is televised on Channel 21 at 11:00 AM on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- On Wednesday mornings Mass is offered at the hospital chapel. Check posted calendars near chapels for changes.
- Lay Eucharistic Ministers bring Communion to Catholic patients at bedside daily.
Interdenominational Services
- Interdenominational Communion calls are made upon patient request.
- Chaplains are most willing to provide bedside services to patients and families.
Sacred Spaces
Mary Immaculate offers patients and their family members two designated "sacred spaces" for those who need a quiet place to go for a moment of reflection or prayer:
- The Chapel is located on the first floor at the main entrance of the hospital. It's open 24 hours a day seven days a week. Instrumental music is played continuously.
- The Reflection Garden is located outside the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Waiting Room.
Advanced Medical Directives
Upon admission to the hospital, patients are asked if they have made decisions about granting authority to others to speak for them regarding their medical care should they not be able to speak for themselves. These decisions come in the form of a "Living Will" and/or "Medical Power of Attorney for Health Care." A Chaplain will gladly answer your questions pertaining to Advanced Medical Care Directives (PDF) and help you execute a directive should you so desire. This service is free and requires no notary.
